Getting a prescription on Maple is easy
First, send a request
Simply fill out a short form online with your symptoms or refill details for the online doctor’s prescription you need — you can then either see a doctor in minutes or schedule an appointment with a specialist.
If you don’t have employer or insurer coverage, fees may apply since many virtual services aren’t covered by provincial health plans.
If payment is required, consultations for prescriptions start at $69. You’ll also need to provide a copy of your government ID to obtain a prescription.
Next, you'll hear from the doctor
Our doctors can provide a prescription online in Canada for most medications at their discretion. If the doctor can help, your consultation will start right away and you'll begin speaking over text. They may also request an audio or video chat if it’ll help with your diagnosis.
If the doctor can't help, your consultation won’t start and you won't be charged. For example, doctors can’t provide prescriptions for narcotics or opiates on Maple. Instead, they’ll let you know if you need to visit a family practice or walk-in clinic.
Get your online prescription and refills
You'll see the details of the online doctor’s prescription, including the drug name, dosage, and frequency. The doctor's signature, license number, and direct contact information are on the prescription if your pharmacist has any questions.
Prescriptions are sent directly to the pharmacy of your choice or you can choose free delivery to your home.
Please note: Maple is not a pharmaceutical manufacturer, nor are we an online pharmacy. This means you'll need to buy your medication from the pharmacy once you have your prescription.
