Access Virtual (previously EQ Virtual) is a telemedicine service in British Columbia, offered under the province's Medical Services Plan (MSP), where you can connect to an Intermediary Care Coordinator to schedule a video appointment with a physician.

Employer / insurance coverage is available, otherwise visits start at $49, as many of our services aren’t covered under provincial health plans due to our use of secure messaging, nurse practitioners, and a national doctor network. If you’re not a BC resident, and if a video consultation is required for your case, the doctor will let you know ahead of time, and you can choose whether to continue or not.

Set hours of access

Access Virtual operates during set hours on weekdays and weekends.

By design, Access Virtual is offered only in British Columbia as a free service.

Scheduled doctor appointments

Access Virtual first connects you to a Care Coordinator or Manager as part of the intake process.

Then, you'll receive a scheduled appointment to speak with a physician.

Depending on the availability of healthcare providers, your appointment may not occur instantly.

Video mandatory on every visit

To use Access Virtual, you must have a scheduled video consultation with the physician.

Audio and text chat are not available. 

Available only in BC

By design, Access Virtual is only available to BC residents, and is offered as a free service.
