Set hours of access

While Cover Health is open seven days a week, they only operate during set hours.

This means it’s possible you won’t get care when you need it if it’s outside of their operating hours. Care is also only available to those in Ontario.

Limited amount of specialists

Cover Health only offers specialists for fertility, physiotherapy, cardio, dermatology, and diabetes.

You might not be able to speak to the type of healthcare provider you need.

Scheduled appointments only

Cover Health doesn’t offer on-demand visits. You must be willing to wait for a video consultation with a doctor.

To book an appointment, you join a same-day waiting list or select a one-hour window for an appointment on either the same day, or another day.

No video consultations

Speaking to a healthcare provider over video is not an option. Patients receive a phone call after booking their appointment from a private number.

Sometimes it takes a video call to get a clearer picture during a consultation, which you may not get with a phone call.

A fantastic way to get medical advice when you are unable to see someone in person. The app is so simple to use. Highly recommend. I am not a tech savvy person but the doctor was kind enough to patiently walk me through every step of the process. Thank you.

So fast and efficient. A process that would have ordinarily involved a referral and a six months wait was completed in less than 72 hours. Wholeheartedly recommend Maple.
