Maple and Desjardins Insurance partner to support neurodiversity in the workplace with preferred-rate access to the Maple Beyond ADHD program

Through this partnership, people insured by Desjardins Insurance group benefits plans can access specialized care and ongoing support when they need it.

TORONTO, November 2, 2026 – Today, Maple, Canada’s leading on-demand healthcare platform, announced a partnership with Desjardins Insurance to give people insured by their benefits plans access to specialized assessment, diagnosis and follow-up care for attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD).

As of November 1, the Maple Beyond ADHD program has been added to Desjardins Insurance’s group benefits offering, helping provide a more integrated approach to neurodiversity-affirming care.

Neurodivergent people make up a significant part of Canada’s workforce, and it’s something employers need to address today. A national study commissioned by Desjardins Insurance and conducted by Signal49 Research in collaboration with Léger found that 14.5% of Canadian adults identify as neurodivergent.

People living with ADHD can face barriers to care, including wait times and costs. Better access to appropriate care can help neurodivergent people navigate everyday challenges and participate more fully in inclusive, supportive workplaces.

A more direct pathway to ADHD care

With the Maple Beyond ADHD program, insureds can complete a free self-assessment before meeting online with a Canadian-licensed nurse practitioner who specializes in mental health. Depending on their individual needs, care may include a clinical assessment, diagnosis, written report and personalized treatment approach.

No referral is needed, and there’s no waitlist. Most patients can get a first appointment within days, depending on provider availability and their individual situation. Insureds also benefit from preferred rates for assessment, diagnosis and report preparation.

“Better access to care comes down to two key factors: having providers available when people need them and making care affordable.  By making coverage for ADHD care available to plan sponsors’ plans or their plan administrators, Desjardins Insurance is helping reduce financial barriers and improve access to care,” said Will Houtart, Managing Director, Sales at Maple.

Supporting people at every stage of life

Like anyone else, neurodivergent people have unique needs that evolve over a lifetime. Whether it’s a young adult starting their career, someone looking for answers later in life, or a parent seeking support for their child, access to tailored care helps meet people where they are.

Maple Beyond ADHD is available to adults and youth aged 6 to 17. At Desjardins Insurance, it’s included as part of the Focus Neurodiversity initiative, which provides access to specialized resources and professionals to support health, inclusion and engagement.

About the study

The Signal49 Research study, The Inclusion Gap: The Cost of Underutilizing Neurodivergent Talent in Canada’s Workforce (2026), was commissioned by Desjardins Insurance. It is based on an online panel survey of 17,036 adults conducted with Léger. The data reflect self-identification rather than clinical diagnosis and cover neurodivergence broadly, not ADHD specifically. These findings are not outcomes of this partnership.
