Undergraduate students at Concordia University who are paying federal or provincial tuition rates* are automatically eligible for this service and will get unlimited visits with a primary care provider. Consulting a primary care provider on Maple is easy

Sign up for an account

Create a Maple account using your Concordia student number, or link an existing Maple account. When a medical need arises, click “Get care” and enter your symptoms.

Talk to a primary care provider

One of our primary care providers will review your request and respond within minutes. You can speak to a primary care provider via secure text messaging, audio, or video.

Get advice, a diagnosis & treatment

Depending on your needs, primary care providers can provide a diagnosis, medical advice, write a prescription, order lab work, and more.

Opting out

Following a successful CSU referendum in which 73.8% of respondents voted in favour of access to the service, eligible students are now automatically covered by Virtual Health Care from Sept. 1, 2024 - Aug. 31, 2025. Please check your tuition statement to confirm if you’ve been automatically charged the Virtual Health Care (Maple) fee of $3.25 in Fall and $6.50 in Winter.

If you’ve reviewed what the service has to offer and would like to opt-out, you can do so below during the Change-Of-Coverage and Opt-out periods:

  • Fall semester: Sept. 5-Oct. 4, 2024
  • Winter semester: Jan. 22-Feb. 20, 2025

Self-enrolment

If you are not automatically eligible to be covered by Virtual Health Care, click the button below to request to opt-in to the CSU coverage.

The fee is $9.75 for coverage from Sept. 1, 2024 - Aug. 31, 2025 ($3.25 billed in Fall and $6.50 billed in Winter). If you’ve reviewed what the service has to offer and would like to self-enrol, you can do so during the Change-Of-Coverage and Opt-out period:

  • Fall semester: Sept. 5 - Oct 4, 2024
  • Winter semester: Jan. 22 - Feb. 20, 2025
