Yes. If you've already been diagnosed with ADHD, you should begin with the Assessment. The practitioner will take the time to understand your history and where you are in your treatment, then work with you on next steps, including prescription refills if clinically appropriate and at their discretion. Because every practitioner reviews your situation individually, it helps to have details of your previous diagnosis and current treatment ready for your visit.
If you're coming to Beyond ADHD with an existing ADHD diagnosis and are only looking for a refill, you'll still need to start with an ADHD Assessment. Your practitioner needs the full picture of your history and treatment before they can prescribe anything.
Yes. A Beyond ADHD assessment is a real clinical evaluation, led by Canadian-licensed doctors and nurse practitioners who specialize in ADHD. They follow established clinical guidelines for ADHD assessment, taking the time to review your history, understand your symptoms and reach a considered diagnosis.
Following your diagnosis, you'll receive a complete copy of your assessment, including your chart, screening results, diagnosis, and treatment plan, which can be shared with your school or employer to support accommodation requests.
If you’re not diagnosed with ADHD, the clinician will discuss alternative explanations for your symptoms and let you know where to go next.
